On hikes to great places from Rønvikfjellet!
Rønvikfjellet is a popular base for hikingtrips in Bodø. To ‘walk in a queue’ up to Keiservarden is a well known and nice trip from here. But there is a lot of lesser known hikingopportunities where there isn’t that many other hikers. Both shorter and longer trips.
If you’re staying at Wood hotel and want to go on a long hike, hear with the «concierge» at the hotel if anybody can drive you to Skaug – where you can go the hikeclassic «Skaug og hjem» all the way back to the hotel. Or how about a «closebysummitmasstrip» to Keiservarden, Løpsfjellet, Junkerfjellet, 255-toppen, Storliryggen, Hunstadtoppen and Ravnflåget? Or a trip the other way to Linken, Pallfjellet and Bratten before going by the city centre on your way back?
The swimming opportunities are also good from here. The lakes has on warmweatherperiods in the summer possibilities to get comfortable temperatures – unlike the sea up here in the north which any weather mostly is cold. Nedre Vollvatnet is cituated very close to the hotel and is great for a morning swim. Svartvatnet has also many good swimming places.
The only type of trips which isn’t normal from Rønvikfjellet is nordic skiing. Look on this page for tips on places to do that in the Bodøarea.
